Day 3-- Wednesday

Quote for the day:
We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons. --Jim Rone

Let's pay the price to be more self-disciplined. It feels so much better than the alternative!

Studied scriptures, ate my veggies, didn't pig out. . . yet. Still have a few more hours. Hope you're all hanging in there. Something that helped me yesterday was reading an article on cnn news where mothers in Haiti basically had to choose which of their kids would eat that day and which would die. Heartbreaking. Makes me grateful for the food I have and makes me not want to gorge.

I love the quote. So true. I finally emailed you my goals and my silly profile picture (I could not locate my "real" one for the life of me!) so you can add me when you get around to it.
For the record, I did my scripture study and added two fruits to lunch today!
Christine, that article does sound heartbreaking. Can you imagine?

Ok, I'm behind already! I do have a goal, though. I'm back on the weight watcher's wagon and my goal is to stick to my points and lose 15 pounds by new year's. THat will put me back to my pre-prego weight. My other goal is scripture study and personal prayer 7 days a week.

So foar so good with these goals. I had Jury duty today so my whole day was topsy turvy, but still managed to accomplish my goals.

again... (bad, bad stephanie)... scriptures-- yes, exercise-- no, one treat- NO!! (We had FHE and the refreshment pushed me over the edge.)

i did it! i got all three of my goals in today-- 5 servings of fruits and vegetables (4 at dinner:), scriptures read, 30 minute walk with a girlfriend. would have been better if it was an hour, but it was a good, brisk walk and it was exercise.

stephanie--no belittling yourself!:) i'm relieved to hear that i'm not the only one who struggles with eating multiple sweets in a day. you'll notice that wasn't even my goal!

I got everything done except one veggie/fruit. I'm getting better at this.
