Day One--Monday

Rather than have you all wait each day until I have time to post my results, I am going to set up daily posts and schedule them ahead. Then, each day, come to this blog and leave a comment to share how your goals went that day. Take the time to read each other's comments so that we can offer support to each other. Be sure to subscribe or "follow" this blog in the sidebar so that you get all the updates. (By the way, if you don't like the picture I used of you, feel free to send me another one. My email is sleepymumATgmailDOTcom.)

I will get everyone up in the sidebar as soon as possible. If you left a comment here, I know you are in. I'll be using people's profile pictures if they have one and linking to your blog (although if it's private, that doesn't matter much.) If you wish to be more anonymous than that, let me know, but I think it is fun for the participants to get to know each other a little.

Good luck, everyone! I am looking forward to this accountability. Apparently, I need it.

Now leave a comment and tell us how you did on the first day of our challenge: Monday, November 17th.

Okay, so far I have done my scripture study and I took the kids on a walk/bike/scooter ride this morning for 30 minutes. Those can't be the only kind of workouts I get, but on a busy day, it's better than nothing. And so far I've only had one serving of plants. Oops. I'd better go rummage for some carrot sticks! I hope to report in later that I accomplished my 5 servings.

I went to the gym this morning for an hour and I read my two pages of scriptures. I will make a grocery list tonight that will include the healthy things I should be eating.

Woo-hoo day one done. Gilad and I (one of the guys from the fit network) had a good workout after the kids went to bed.

I made it to the gym with Becky this morning, but I admit I only worked out for 20 minutes. But tomorrow is a new day and I am meeting my workout buddy who is a slavemaster!

My other goal will also be to write everything down that I eat. I know I won't be perfect this month, but at least if I write it down I might be a little more accountable.

Also I will drink 8 glasses of water per day.

PS, Yes, please copy the photo from Becky's blog back in May or June. I was wearing a turqoise shirt and the pond is in the background.

Did everything I said I would. Of course I'm scared about the treat thing. Now that I'm down to one treat a day that means I have to choose between an array of delicacies. Sometimes I think it's easier to not have any treat because once I start I don't want to stop. So far I'm in control though. Scriptures done, veggies and fruits done, no workout today though.

I couldn't post yesterday because James was doing homework on the computer and I opted to go to bed!

I read my scriptures and exercised at least 20 minutes. I sure love DDR, it gets my heart rate up! Dancing is fun and doesn't feel so much like exercise to me!

Okay, I guess I am the first slacker of the group. You all are doing awesome! I'll be happy to be the one that makes you all feel better because you can say, "Well, at least I did better than Scrappy today!" ;)

I got the fruit/veggies in...that is about it. FHE and one of my three workouts will happen today. I missed the scripture reading and reading with my kids because my husband unexpectedly kicked me out of the house before bedtime so I could hang out with my BFF!

I had great intentions. I woke up and put on my exercise clothes. Right before I left my VT companion called and said we had an appointment in 15 minutes. We went and 4 hours later I got home. I did however get the scripture study done in conjunction with VT and FHE. I only got 2 servings of veggies. Maybe tomorrow will go better.

Ok, I already blew my one eat out for the week and I did it on stupid Burger king for the kids for lunch. But I was desperate. Oh, well, it just means I loose out on any better eats for the rest of the week. *sigh* I knew this would be a hard one. I am NOT, however, going to consider take and bake pizza as eating out. Sorry, but a girl has got to survive.

I've done great on scripture reading and have read every night so far. But my husband has been gone for the past 4 nights. I'm hoping I can keep this up even after he gets home. I will try reading earlier in the day to prevent me from missing.

And I have been out of the house a lot lately. I need to add to this goal, though, that at least 2 of my "go outs" be for the sheer pleasure of getting out and not have to do with errands or kids events.

okay, so when i last posted a comment, i just had fruits and veggies to go. i am ashamed to admit that i only had 2 servings yesterday, and one was in an apple crisp! does that even count? anyway, i need to step it up. i guess this is a goal because with my current lazy eating habits, they aren't getting in on accident.
