A Week of Weekends

For some people this may be a week with a long weekend. For me and many other moms out there, this entire week is like a weekend. I have family here from out of town, the kids and I are taking the week off of school, and we'll be doing things like playing with cousins, baking pies, playing board games, etc. It will be great except for the fact that my healthy habits really fall apart when there is extra fun to be had. Somehow my scripture study and exercise get crammed out all the time. I need to commit to get up early this week even if I don't have to teach Kimball math at 6:00 AM so that I can get in those two very important things before I become the mommy at 7:00ish.

How will you keep up your habits this week? Are you adjusting your goals, or sticking to them like glue? Fill us in on your plan.

I have to announce to all that I am now 5 pounds into my 15 pound goal! Yippee! To be fair, I had started working on that goal before we started this blog. So don't think that I lost 5 pounds in 1 week. But I am very pleased with my progress! I am determined to be one jeans size smaller by the new year.
I am reading in Mormon right now, and I have been pretty good about every day, although the weekend is hard, as I said in my last comment.
I hope every else is going well.
Keep upi the good work!
(I don't have a plan yet for hte rest of the week. I need to figure that out though lest I gain back those 5 pounds on Thursday! :)

hum...so my mom was here last week...so I'm behind in scriptures & exercising. I got 3 of 5 days exercising and need to read about 15 pages today during Scotty's nap to catch up on my scriptures.

I don't think this week is going to be any better...with driving to your place and back...

This is why I set such easy goals for myself. I knew it would be hard over the holidays. You are going to do a New Years Resolutions Healthy Habits, aren't you? I'm depending on you. I'm going to need a lot of help if I want to see any differences by Valentines day.

As for me, it will be easy not to eat out seeing as how this week will be totally devoted to food preparations. Scripture reading I'm really getting into, and since I only have to read one scripture I find I have no excuses. I lvoe how one scripture often turns into a whole chapter. I will have to make sure I get out, though. That one will be tough because I tend to stay put to make sure everything is going as planned. But I will make sure to get out today and tomorrow to get an early start. If the sun stays out I will do my park day today so that I can't miss it later this week.

I haven't been checking in because I haven't had access to a computer in the hospital. But, I have met my goals. I have read my scriptures every day and have walked the hospital floor each day for at least 20-30 minutes. Well, today I went around the floor once, and I hope to get to exercise tonight if I'm not too tired.

I'll have to play it by ear for the next few days.

I still plan on keeping all my goals, but on Friday my exercise may consist of running around at Walmart! :D Just kidding!

Thanks for helping me turn down treats ... and helping me drink more water. The kids have school off all week, but I even got up this morning and went to the gym!

i got my scripture study and fruits and veggies done today, but i didn't get up early enough to exercise as well. i took my kids to the park, but i was so busy chatting with my sil and eating pizza (and running bronwen to the park potty) that i didn't spend that time exercising either. sigh. that means that i need to do it every day left this week.
